pdp in association with eop architects selected for jefferson seminary - kentucky

The team of PDP and EOP Architects has been selected to perform the Foundation Remediation and Courtyard Restoration Project of the Seminary Building at the Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) in Louisville, Kentucky. The historic Seminary Building (constructed 1903-1909), has been an integral part of JCTC’s downtown campus since 1967.

PDP has opened a new office at 30 South 17th Street in Center City Philadelphia, PA.  The 4600-sq.ft. office is located on the 13th floor of the United Engineers Building, originally constructed in 1976.

The Preservation award, in the Education/Media category, will be presented to Managing Principal Dominique M. Hawkins at the Annual Conference in St. Augustine, FL on May 17, 2013.


lisa soderberg joins pdp

Lisa Soderberg has joined PDP as an Associate and Senior Project Coordinator. Lisa has collaborated with George C. Skarmeas for over fifteen years on projects including President Lincoln's Cottage and Yale's Payne Whitney Gymnasium. She brings over thirty years of experience in material conservation and building envelope restoration. At PDP, Lisa's major projects will include the restoration of the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind and the Executive Wing of the New Jersey State House.


pdp selected for design guidelines for paterson, nj

PDP has been selected to prepare Design Guidelines for the Downtown Commercial Historic District for the City of Paterson, New Jersey. Paterson, one of the country's first planned industrial cities, is located along the Passaic River in northern New Jersey. The Downtown Commercial Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, with 210 contributing properties dating to the mid-20th century comprised of commercial and retail multi-story structures. The Design Guidelines are scheduled to be completed in 2013.


pdp to undertake intensive level survey of tacony, philadelphia, pa

PDP has been selected by the Historic Society of Tacony to survey over 1,400 properties of the Tacony community. In a continuation of PDP's partnership with the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, PDP will build upon the database format used by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which includes GIS mapping and embedded digital photographs. The survey project will lead to a PHMC determination of eligibility for Tacony for listing as a National Historic District.
