In 2016, the Maymont Foundation commissioned the Preservation Design Partnership, LLC [PDP] to prepare a Preservation Plan for the Maymont Mansion. The Maymont Mansion, located in Richmond, Virginia, is a unique historic house museum built in the late 1890s.

The Preservation Plan aims to:

1. Identify how the architectural and cultural history of Maymont can inform and shape its future;
2. Create a “baseline” record of the existing conditions, against which the state of the house can be “measured”, monitored and evaluated in future years;
3. Provide an assessment of the existing conditions and identify risks to be managed
