George c. skarmeas inducted into apti college of fellows

George C. Skarmeas was elected to the College of Fellows at the Association for Preservation Technology International (APTI). The College of Fellows fulfills a variety of salient functions within APT. Overall, the college advises the Board of Directors on issues regarding the advancement of philosophy and practice of preservation technology. The College of Fellows honors those APT members who have provided valuable services to the preservation field and to APT.


pdp selected by maryland historical trust to identify strategies for historic properties in flood-prone areas

In August 2015, PDP was selected by MHT to research and address strategies for historic properties in floodplains, using research and data collection, site visits, and local outreach to formulate a comprehensive plan.


sarah j. blitzer joins pdp

Sarah J. Blitzer joined PDP in June as a Project Coordinator, after receiving dual Masters degrees in Architecture and Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah is involved with the Renovation and Restoration of the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind.

marco g. virgili joins pdp

February 2, 2015

Marco G. Virgili joined PDP in February 2015 as a Project Architect. Marco has previous experience at the Preservation Design Studio at RMJM Hillier, participating in such projects as The Cincinnati Museum Center and the U.S. Customs House. Marco is currently involved at PDP with the the Renovation and Restoration of the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind.
